Kathmandu - Chairman of CPN (UML) KP Sharma Oli expressed strong dissatisfaction in the recent internal meeting and made a strong statement targeting the young leaders within the party to former colleagues.
Oli took a dig at the 'Gen Z' generation and the propaganda done in their name and said,
"What if you say Jenji? We made Sudan Kaderia the president of Akhil by saying the same thing, he left the responsibility and ran away."
He mentioned that the current youth-oriented and social media-centric politics is not sustainable and said,
"It's not walking around writing on Facebook, it's not walking around giving interviews. We have to stop these things now."
Oli has also indicated that he will not go to the party elections. In his words,
"We don't know in the election."
At the same time, he also raised the issue of former President Bidya Bhandari and said,
"No one should come as Bidya Bhandari's advocate. When Bidyaji had cancer, I said that I myself would pay for the treatment, but you didn't accept it. Now, it has come and gone."
Political analysts commented that his statement reflected the deep internal differences within the UML and the distance between leadership and generation.
In the meeting, Oli instructed the leaders and workers to stay focused on strengthening the organization, internal unity and the core idea of the party.
